Note: Always follow your facility’s policies for selecting and using appropriate personal protective equipment.
Step 1:
Hold SPLASHBLOCKER® at an angle to shield against splash when emptying a urinal or bedpan.
Step 2
Place SPLASHBLOCKER® on the toilet bowl to block toilet plume aerosol during flushing.
Step 3
For locations where patients receive hazardous drugs, clean SPLASHBLOCKER® with bleach wipes. Use other antimicrobial wipes in other clinical areas. Refer to the Cleaning Protocols page for disinfectant guidelines.
Step 4
Store SPLASHBLOCKER® by hanging it on the wall near the toilet using the provided hook.

We recommend using standard hospital bleach wipes.
Due to the reduction of the clarity from routine use of the bleach wipes, the units should be replaced every 12–18 months.
Yes. When new SPLASHBLOCKER® units are placed in your facility, the old ones will be put in the shipment boxes and sent to the recycling center (labels provided).
